Looking to authority figures he encounters along the way — including his eventual cellmate, Gene (LaBeouf) — Henry’s journey leads him down a road of manipulation and ethical uncertainty.。解放战争时期，国民党反动派撕毁了停战协议，大举进攻解放区。解放军某部的野战医疗队女队长庄毅，奉命护送伤员们转移。伤员们群情激愤，纷纷要求归队杀敌。庄毅说服了要求归队的朱连长，率领着同志们转移。途中，遇到了敌人飞机的轰炸，庄毅奋不顾身地抢救伤员，自己因此负伤。她在身体尚未恢复健康的情况下，带伤给伤员做手术，抢救了伤员的生命，自己却累倒在手术台前，使伤员们深受感动。。
