闫妍的小说被游戏公司魔改，书中她最喜欢的洛离被改成炮灰。在试玩游戏的过程中，她的不满情绪召唤出游戏世界的系统小八，她被拉入游戏中成了闫之妍。系统规定只有改变洛离的命运，让他变成男主，她才能离开游戏。。故事发生在明朝永乐年间。江阁老爱女江晓萱（贡米 饰）违太后旨意，不愿与金府公子金元宝（霍建华 饰）成婚，在大婚之际出逃，侠女玉麒麟（唐嫣 饰）为调查金元宝真实身份而来，却阴差阳错代江晓萱嫁入金府。由于自幼生长在山野，脾气秉性与贵族家庭格格不入，玉麒麟闹出了不少笑话，但是她的真性情也同时虏获了假夫君金元宝的心。金夫人（邬君梅 饰）的侄儿柳文昭（王阳 饰）欣赏玉麒麟的正直率真，但慑于这桩亲事乃太后赐婚，他只能暗中使绊。逃婚的江晓萱被金府的大夫顾长风（黄明）无意间从歹人手中救出，化名雪儿阴差阳错住进了金府，并跟长风日久生情。 代嫁的秘密让玉麒麟和江晓萱在金府如履薄冰，金元宝的身世之谜也呼之欲出，这究竟是天定的良缘还是命运的恶意玩笑？。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
