宋仁宗年间，庐州有一聪明机智，却生就一副黑黝面容的青年，此人便是包拯，他屡破奇案，为人申冤，赢得众口称赞，包拯有一同窗同学，乃府尹之子公孙策，公孙策智慧过人，自视甚高，与包拯堪称一时瑜亮，然每次查案，皆败在包拯手下，令公孙策又妒又恨。包拯母亲沈氏，为一名大夫，开设了青天药庐，悬壶济世，闲时替官府做验尸工作，包拯的一切医理知识，皆沈氏传授，对日后的查案工作起了莫大帮助。全剧共由名扬天下、血祭坛、隐逸村之秘、殿前扬威、五鼠闹相国、魔法幻影、翻龙劫七个故事组成。。曾赢得奥斯卡的Steven Zaillian继HBO迷你剧《罪夜之谜 The Night Of》后再一次负责剧集项目，他执笔兼导演的剧集是Showtime 8集剧《天才瑞普利 Ripley》，即是Patricia Highsmith笔下的著名反社会人物。 Steven Zaillian会负责首季大部份集的编剧及导演工作，该剧会采用《The Talented Mrs. Ripley》﹑《Ripley Under Ground》﹑《Ripley’s Game》﹑《The Boy Who Followed Ripley》﹑《Ripley Underwater》五部小说的内容，讲述Tom Ripley如何由一名骗徒成为连环杀手的心路历程。 剧集版背景为60年代的纽约，Tom Ripley（Andrew Scott饰）被一个富豪招募，让他到意大利说服富豪的浪子...。A rookie flyer, Ens.
